About Me
Brianna Nicole Bennett has worked in the field of public education for the past decade, mainly with K-12 charter schools in the area of data management and education public policy. She owns an Independent Educational Consultant Company, Climbing to Success College and Career Consulting, and contracts as a College Advisor with West Angeles Educational Enrichment Program. Additionally, she volunteers as an College Advisor with Matchlighters Scholars Program and has mentored college students as an Alumni Mentor with the San Diego State University (SDSU) Aztec Mentorship and HB KEEP Programs. She serves as a Co Vice-President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) with the SDSU Board of Advisors.
Additionally, Brianna is involved with several civil rights organizations in her community. She is a member of the 2020 Los Angeles Anti-Defamation League Glass Leadership Institute class, Youth and Civic Engagement Subcommittee Chair with the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) and is a Past President of the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals (LAULYP).
Brianna holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Media Studies from San Diego State University and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a specialization in Public Policy and Management from CSU Northridge. Recently, she completed her Certificate in College Admissions and Career Planning from UC Berkeley.

Brianna Bennett has over 17 years of experience organizing educational events throughout the United States.
During her time as an undergraduate student at San Diego State University, Brianna created cultural diversity programs with the San Diego State University Office of Intercultural Relations, coordinated professional development events for her peers on campus and helped organize the San Diego State University Afrikan Student Union (ASU) High School Conferences during her four years as a student. Brianna was very involved as a student leader on campus and was awarded the highest student leadership award on campus, Quest for the Best Vice-Presidential Student Leadership Award. The awards committee seeks to recognize outstanding student leaders who have typified and promoted the mission of the university.
Brianna has also made waves in the Los Angeles community working in public education over the past seven years and through her work with the Los Angeles Urban League, Los Angeles Urban League Professionals and Empowerment Congress Education Committee. Over the past 8 years, Brianna has coordinated Science, Technology, Education, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) Conferences in the View Park and Watts Neighborhoods. Additionally, she has organized panels on higher education.
More recently, Brianna has created curriculum on civics education geared for college students for the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP) Advocacy Committee, along with presenting at different educational virtual conferences through the United States.

Brianna Bennett has over 17 years of experience creating changes in her surrounding communities, mainly in San Diego and Los Angeles.
After graduating from CSU Northridge, Brianna joined the Los Angeles Urban League Young Professionals (LAULYP) and served as the Community Service Chair and President from 2013- 2018. While on the leadership team, Brianna was instrumental in building and cultivating relationships with businesses such as Cricket Wireless, L.A. Sentinel and Starbucks and organizations such as the AIDS Walk L.A., Alain Leroy Locke Charter Academy, Anti-Defamation League, C.L.I.M.B., Empowerment Congress, Green Dot Public Schools, iUrban Teen and the University of Southern California (USC). Throughout her five years on the leadership team, she was able to introduce different community service opportunities to her peers and provide professional development to young Black professionals and other professionals of color. During her time serving as the Community Service Chair, she was able to help LAULYP win a national award for their National Day of Service.
